The Role

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager / Buyer looking to join a large Department Store where you will be given the autonomy to increase profit through product sourcing, selection, negotiating and planning.


  • Sourcing, selecting, negotiating and planning the Toy offering for the Department Store
  • Liaise and build strong relationships with the Distributors and Wholesalers
  • Analyse sales reports, category analysis and linear footage
  • Manage and plan your event calendar in accordance with your product launches
  • Provide product knowledge for your entire team on product and time lines
  • Supporting the Store Manager with the overall management of the department
  • Driving sales and service through excellent product knowledge
  • Ensure store standards are delivered at all times through careful product placement and planning
  • Liaise with Store Manager and General Department Store Management regularly on trade reports
  • Inspire, motivate and coach a team of sales consultant through consistent briefs
Experience required for this job include

  • 2-3 years Retail Management experience
  • Buying, selecting and negotiating experience essential
  • Commercial Management experience
  • Strong man management skills
  • Analytical experience
