Primarily working in the food haulage business, they specialise in temperature-controlled vehicles using state-of-the-art technology. They are now seeking a Transport Planner to join their team. With a top of the range fleet of Scania trucks, they deliver food time sensitive produce throughout Ireland with speed and efficiency. You’ll have the chance to join their expert team and will be able to play a key role in day-to-day operations ensuring that routes are suitable, customers’ needs are met and the company reputation for excellence remains intact. As a Transport Planner, you will be tasked with scheduling and supervising our client’s fleet in Ireland. Specifically, you will join the transport team and work with both customers and Drivers to understand needs, communicate them and provide clear instructions. Your role will involve: - Planning routes and providing instruction to Drivers. - Ensuring the company complies with all transport regulations including tachograph, driver hours and vehicle conditions. - Making sure that company procedures and services delivered are maintained and to the correct standard. - Completing a range of admin and reporting tasks. - Occasionally supporting operations outside of normal hours and during weekends. Interested? If so, you will need: - At least two years’ logistics/haulage experience. - Good knowledge of the transport industry. - Excellent IT skills. Self-motivated and flexible, as a Transport Planner, you will need a strong team player mentality with a close attention to detail and plenty of ambition.
