Production Manager. Role Location: Monaghan. Sector: Engineering. I am working with a reputable home grown success story from Monaghan, they have gone from strength to strength over the years and are still continuing to expand and grow. They are now seeking to hire a mid level production manager or a production supervisor that is ready to take the next step in their career to join this successful engineering business. Prior experience within an engineering business is essential for this role. This is a varied and busy role, encompassing people management, information systems, interdependent communications, Quality, H&S and Lean programs. There is a genuine opportunity to join the senior management team. Duties. Oversee a team of skilled operators. Responsibility for planning, monitoring and appraising quality output of theplant. Provide a healthy and safe work environment. Adherence to systems, policies and procedures. Reporting directly to Senior management daily on KPIs. Responsible for team management and resource planning including motivation, counselling, appraisals and discipline. Leading, developing and coaching the skilled operators. Providing effective and efficient Human Resource Management. Providing communication to the team an all relevant matters. The successful candidate will: Have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in an engineering/manufacturing company. Have experience of lean manufacturing processes, tools and techniques. Have a third level qualification. Have a proven track record of managing people and planning and production functions in a busy manufacturing environment. Experience of Sigmanest Production Management software or similar would be a distinct advantage along with experience of an MRP system. Ability to demonstrate maturity of judgement, strong interpersonal and communication skills and a high degree of personal integrity. Demonstrate a strong customer focus.
