Chef, Nursing Home, Monaghan. Excel Recruitment is looking for Chef to work in a Nursing Home in Monaghan, Mullinahinch on casual contract. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working as a Chef in Healthcare units, would be able to work on own initiative as well as part of the team; knowledge of dietary requirements and portion control and be flexible. As Nursing Home is outside Monaghan, the ideal candidate has to drive or live locally. Responsibilities for Chef Job: " Prepare all food items to order as requested within specified time limits. " Prepare portions of meat, fish and poultry. " Prepare desserts and cakes when required. " Prepare food according to dietary requirements. " Minimise waste. " Label all food items for food safety and shelf-life standards and follow HACCP procedures. " Comply with food safety and temperature standards. " Keep the kitchen area neat, clean and sanitary. " Stock control of food items in your section according to specifications. Requirements for Chef Job. " Experience as a Chef in Healthcare unit. " Full-service kitchen experience is desired. " Ability to adjust to high pressure situations in a busy kitchen. " Conduct yourself professionally at all times while setting the standard for all team members. " Express ideas and convey information clearly, effectively, and professionally. " Strong communication skills. " Strong interpersonal skills.
