Scientific Officer III (Level 5) Laboratory Services. Application details/procedure: The EPA is seeking to fill a Scientific Officer III (Level 5) Laboratory Services position in the EPA Regional Inspectorate Monaghan. Successful candidates can expect challenging yet rewarding work and excellent training and development opportunities. The successful candidates, among other requirements must hold an appropriate degree (NFQ Level 8) in Science with Chemistry as a main subject and a minimum of six months experience working in a compliance monitoring analytical laboratory using a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation.    The duties of Scientific Officer relate to all aspects of gathering and analysing samples, routine use of and maintenance of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), liaising with local authorities and other outside bodies and collating data for EU and national reports.
